make these stories mean something... * ro's plots

Grousejaw & Rownstar
Some change is in order from last time. Rowan in obviously older and some events have happened:

Rowanstar's first loss of life was an important event. At first I thought Grouse would be angry because he'd think Rowan should have ran, but Rowan did save his life that night and deter the badger from himself. So, while Grouse is never a tom to feel that indebted nonsense, I think he may have a sort of newfound respect for Rowan? Like he won't treat him like such a kit anymore, because the tom's first instinct was to fight and protect while his own was to run and preserve himself. Perhaps he'll focus on having patience now, and bite back some of his more snippy remarks. 

Second, Bramblestar. He died in the three days of Grouse's intense care (while he had to juggle all the other injuries from that battle) and Grouse feels like he's failed because he lost him and that was his first major crisis handled alone after his mentor's death. His inadequacy feelings will turn to hate- all for magpiestar, a trait Rowan shares. So grouse will feed into his leader's views of magpie as an old senile lunatic who stole everything from thunderclan. However,

I like the idea of Grouse being his more rational shoulder of advise in diplomatic matters. He'll push Rowan to separate his bitterness from his decisions in his own blunt way, and whether or not this will work or anger rowanstar further is up to his character. After all, Grouse has a tendency to tell cats what they don't want to hear and in not the nicest way, either. Cold logic and strict warrior code interpretations aren't  always great advise.  Thoughts?

And of course there is the lake killings and grouse's lack of answers from starclan, which might harrow Rowan as well as the fact Grouse is a big loyal preachy zealot no matter the case.


however, maybe, an odd companionship could be forged? obviously not a perfect one, i'm sure they would hit heads, but one of mutual respect and trust?
