The sky shone a bright blue, one big, white, fluffy cloud floated overhead, barely moving on the light breeze that swept the tall grasses of the land. It was a perfect day... Though perhaps a little hot for some of the creatures of the land. Like the two-legs, for example. Most of them stayed in their dens during the day... Except for their kits. They always played outside... No matter the weather. That made a cat like Silvermint very fearful of leaving her place in the warriors' den. But she had. A glimpse of soft silver fur could be seen every now and then as the breeze blew the grass away from her body, but mainly, she stayed hidden in the tall grasses of her Clan's territory. She was a WindClan cat, swift with a lot of stamina to help her continue to run for longer than some other cats. She was swift and could run long distances... The stereotypical WindClan cat. But that was okay because at least she belonged somewhere.
She didn't know who her mother was... Silvermint had been abandoned as a kit, but one of the clan's queens had taken her in, teaching her the ways of WindClan. She really always felt like an outsider, though. She felt like the other warriors frowned upon her... Like they didn't see her as one of them despite her living all but one week of her life with them. But she was only being paranoid. The clan looked at her no differently than they looked at everyone else. Silvermint wasn't able to get over the fact that she hadn't been born a WindClan cat. She sighed, padding up to a large rock at the top of a gently sloping hill. Hopping up onto it, she could see the land, each territory that the clans possessed. She was closest to RiverClan's territory... Closest to the river. As she looked over the land, she couldn't help but wonder where she came from. Perhaps se was a RiverClan cat... But no... That wouldn't make sense. She was terrified of the water. So maybe ThunderClan... Or ShadowClan. But she was too fast for them. A sigh left the young warrior's body as she laid out on the flat top of the rock. The sun soaked into her fur, warming her body nicely as she closed her eyes, purring gently.
